Due to the threat of inclement weather on Feb 21, Piedmont Arts' African American Read-In + Family Day has been postponed until Saturday, Feb 28. Join Piedmont Arts for a celebration of African American authors as the museum participates in the Twenty-Sixth National African American Read-In, sponsored by the Black Caucus of National Council of Teachers of English and the National Council of Teachers of English. Community members are invited to read excerpts from books, stories and poems by their favorite African American authors. Everyone is invited to participate. Just bring a book! All children will receive a free book to take home, while supplies last. Complimentary refreshments available.
