Admission
Admission to the museum’s galleries and grounds is always free through the membership support of people like you. There is a charge for some special events, such as classes, lectures and performances.
Become a MemberWIC Passport Program
Piedmont Arts is participating in the WIC Passport Program during the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
The Virginia Commission for the Arts is excited to partner with the Virginia Department of Health to support the Passport Program, an arts access initiative. This program provides free or discounted tickets to arts and culture events for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) recipients to experience the arts throughout the Commonwealth.
WIC recipients are eligible to receive:
- Free general admission tickets to the Roanoke Symphony Holiday Pops Spectacular on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025.
- 50% discount on Summer Art Camps.
- One free household membership.
- Free admission to the galleries.
To take advantage of these benefits, visit Piedmont Arts during normal business hours and present your valid WIC card to pick up your event tickets, register for art camp or sign up for a museum membership.

Parking
Parking space for cars and buses is free and available on museum property.
Accessibility
The ground floor and main galleries of Piedmont Arts are accessible by stairs or passenger elevator. The Box Mezzanine Gallery and museum offices are accessible by stairs only. The museum has a manual wheelchair available for free usage on a first-come, first-served basis. If a wheelchair is needed during your visit, please ask front desk staff for assistance.
Photography
Unless otherwise posted, personal photography in the galleries or on the Piedmont Arts grounds, taken in existing light, is permitted on condition that the photographs are for noncommercial use.
Commercial photography in the Piedmont Arts galleries and on the Piedmont Arts grounds is not permitted, unless pre-approved by Piedmont Arts staff. To request permission to to take commercial photography in the Piedmont Arts galleries, please contact the Executive Director.
