Award-winning artist and author Kadir Nelson spent seven years creating the handsome paintings in this exhibit for his brilliantly illustrated children's book, We Are The Ship: The Story of Negro League Baseball. Thirty-three original paintings and 13 original sketches are included in this beautiful and captivating exhibit.
