Instructor: Joli Ayn Wood Ages 18+ This class will be rescheduled at a later date. Regional oil plein air painter Joli Ayn Wood will demonstrate her technique for capturing scenes quickly, including choosing a strong composition, representing values correctly, light study and managing your time and the elements. While Joli will share her recommended materials list prior to the class, you may bring materials in the medium with which you are accustomed to working, as well as an easel (and chair, if needed) that can be used out of doors. A limited number of plein air easels are available for loan on a first come basis. A small practice panel will be provided, students may bring more support if they wish. Prerequisites: This class is directed towards painters/artists who have been wanting to try painting out of doors. The techniques being taught are most appropriate to work in acrylics and oils, however all media is encouraged. Register online or call 276.632.3221. Advanced registration required.
