Taking their name from the name of a traditional Irish jig, Cherish the Ladies initially won recognition as the first and only all-women traditional Irish band. They soon established themselves as musicians and performers without peer and have won many thousands of listeners and fans of their music. With their unique spectacular blend of virtuosi instrumental talents, beautiful vocals, captivating arrangements and stunning step dancing, this powerhouse group combines all the facets of Irish traditional culture and puts it forth in an immensely humorous and entertaining package. To Kill a Mockingbird

Montana Repertory Theatre, one of the most outstanding touring companies today, will present the stage adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee’s classic tale of dignity, tolerance, and unequal justice in a small 1950’s town. This performance is a part of Piedmont Arts’ The Big Read, a project sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Institute of Museum and Library Science.

Canadian-born Pavlo, who's of Greek heritage, has a sound best described as Mediterranean. With a combination of Flamenco, Latin, Classical and Mediterranean guitar mixed with the Greek Bouzouki, Pavlo and his band blend sounds into a musical hybrid that make dancing very hard to resist! A Juno Award winner, Pavlo has released five albums, was named World Artist of the Year at the 2004 Canadian Independent Music Awards, and has achieved star status in his home country.

The Sam Bush Band

In the world of acoustic music, few artists have enjoyed a career as diverse as that of Sam Bush. A three time National Junior Fiddle champion, he made his Grand Ole Opry debut at 17 and a year later joined a group that became the legendary New Grass Revival. Over the years he has toured with Emmylou Harris, Lyle Lovett, and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and recorded seven albums as front man of his own band. A favorite at the annual Telluride Music Festival and Merlefest events, Sam last appeared here with the Accoustic Giants in 1995.


Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience

This "Zydeco Master" and native Louisiana Creole is already a legend after nearly two decades as a professional touring and recording artist. He has consistently diversified and shaped his beloved zydeco music into a sound uniquely his, and delivers this eclectic fusion of sound with astonishing vocals that are often compated to Sam Cooke, Aaron Neville or Al Green.

In a genre that is rarely recognized by mainstream media, Simien and his band, the Mallet Playboys, are of a select few who have been given the nod from and featured by Rolling Stone and Time Magazine, VH-1 and CNN Worldbeat. He has been featured on House of Blues Radio Hour with Dan Aykroyd, appeared in the film "The Big Easy", and performed with Stevie Wonder at the Clinton inaugural in 1977.

"1964" recently played in London's Shea Stadium in celebration of the Beatles concert there 40 years ago that started a phenomenon.
