As part of Piedmont Arts’ educational outreach, the Latin Ballet of Virginia will perform Spanish Through Dance for students at Carver Elementary and Axton Elementary on Friday, October 30. Spanish Through Dance concentrates on the practical use of Spanish in relationship to the body, movement and music. Students will learn to connect dance to language, culture and history by learning to pronounce Spanish words, sing songs and perform traditional and social Latin American and Caribbean dances.
