Book Signing with Frank Tavares

This program is made possible by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities. This event remains admission free through the membership support of people like you. As part of Piedmont Arts' exploration of literary censorship, Frank Tavares will discuss his book, The Man Who Built Boxes, a collection of short stories that introduces readers to a remarkable cast of complex, quirky characters tangled up in the limits they’ve put on their lives. Copies of Tavares' book are available at Piedmont Arts and online and will be available at the talk for $10 each. Tavares is the voice of NPR's News underwriters on newscasts including, All Things Considered, Fresh Air, The Diane Rehm Show and Talk of the Nation.
