Roanoke Symphony Holiday Pops

The symphony will perform as scheduled tonight, Sunday, Dec 8 at 7 pm. This project is supported in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. Celebrate the holidays with Piedmont Arts On Stage as Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and Chorus returns to Martinsville for the annual Holiday Pops Spectacular. This special anniversary production of the symphony's well-loved holiday pops concert will feature timeless classics and new holiday favorites, including the symphony's brand new sing-a-long. Broadway star Joy Lynn Matthews-Jacobs will join the symphony in celebrating the holiday season. Blessed with "a powerful voice, a ridiculous range and a swagger that [will] put a smile on every audience member's face," Matthews-Jacobs has graced the stage of stellar productions across the U.S. and beyond, including Oklahoma, Menopause The Musical and Ain't Misbehavin'. Randy Brooks will also make an appearance with the Roanoke Symphony, to sing his original holiday classic, Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. Piedmont Arts will also be collecting canned goods for Grace Network during the symphony's performance. All non-perishable items will be collected in the lobby by Grace Network volunteers. Lobby doors will open at 6 pm for donations. $25 Reserved • $10 Adult • $5 Student Tickets Available at Door
